This exciting new pack was the overall winner of the Practical Preschool Awards 2010. It was given an amazing score of 100% by the teacher-testers.
It includes 4 bespoke animal costumes made specially to accompany the feature-length documentary ‘A child’s eye view of safari’. In the film, we see Nishaan and Ellie become safari keepers for the day – feeding the baboons and meerkats, cleaning out the elephant house, making the rhino’s bed, and giving bananas to the giraffes.
The programme includes fabulous footage shot by a wildlife cameraman, eg. of rhinos wallowing in the mud; baboons playing in the trees; meerkats standing sentry.
It also shows the children visiting the Safari School, where they enjoy animal role play, singing, art, and games, and learn all about mammals.
The Safari Role Play Pack comprises:
- Safari documentary (55 minutes – with sections on Rhinos, meerkats, elephants, baboons and giraffes) - perfect for helping children learn about animal behaviour, classification, coverings and movement
- Digital handbook with cross curricular teachers’ notes linked to the EYFS and KS1
- 4 delightful animal costumes: Meerkat, rhino, elephant and baboon
Once they have watched the films, children will be geared up for their own safari adventures, and will love dressing up as the animals at the safari park. A great way to inspire animal role play!
The Safari Role Play Pack is terrific value at £64.99 ex VAT.
